Politics

We’re all puppets

Man, what kinda crap is this?”

“I don’t know. I thought it was really gonna be different this time.”

I’m well aware that not everyone shares my political views, and that’s fine.  In fact, that’s great.  Differing views are good.

If you are one of those that don’t typically agree with me, do me a favor here, and read this post with an open mind.  This isn’t a democrat vs republican post.  This is a post about how both sides are wrong, and very dangerous to the future of our country.  Some of what I’m about to write will sound ridiculous.  But read it anyway, and then do your own research and make up your own mind.  I know that I thought it was a steaming pile of bullshit when I first heard some of this.

BushPuppetI remember hearing people say that George W. Bush was a puppet of big oil and big business.  And he was.  But so is Obama.  Look at who he is surrounded by, a bunch of Wall Street people.  All the presidents in recent history have been puppets, it’s not a real position of power.  The last president to not be a puppet was JFK, and look at what happened to him.

So if the president is just a puppet, then who the hell is pulling the strings?  The banking community.

Think about this, the so-called mortgage meltdown that caused the recent recession was caused by banks selling worthless investments.  And then the government bailed them out of their own mess.  Why?  Because the president is a puppet.  It would make more sense to give the billions of dollars to the people, but instead it went right into the pockets of the bankers.  How convenient..

Every year a meeting takes place to discuss the outcome of the next year.  The guest list is a secret, meeting minutes are kept, but a list of attendees is not.  This meeting is called “Bilderberg”.  The attendees are very rich, very powerful people.  Names like “Bernake”, “Clinton”, and “Obama” are said to have been on the guest list in 2008.  Remember when Hillary and Barack seemed to disappear from the public radar for a couple of days during the campaign?  They were supposedly in Chantilly, Virginia attending the Bilderberg meeting.  I have no proof of this, but I would not be surprised.

Former guests are said to be people like George W. Bush, Alan Greenspan, and a long list of other politicians who claim to work for us, the people.

When I first heard about Bilderberg I thought it was a conspiracy theory and nothing more.  But, then, I didn’t believe that the Federal Reserve was as “Federal” as FedEx.  True story.

The “Fed” isn’t part of the government.  The government has no control over it at all.  It run by the banking cartel.  The bailouts we’ve been seeing use money that is printed by the fed, money that never existed before, printed out of thin air.  And when you and I pay it back, we pay it back with interest.  It’s a nice gig if you can get it.

I’ve heard claims that the rise in gas prices were decided by Bilderberg, in order to hurt the American people, then the mortgage crises would hit, followed by the bailouts.  All to de-value the U.S. Dollar.  Why?  It’s part of the “new world order” you’ve heard about off and on over the past couple of decades.  The Bilderbergs want total control.

So why haven’t you heard about the Bilderberg group in the mainstream media?  Seriously?  You have to ask?  Think about who owns the media.  Giant corporations, like Time-Warner, and FOX.  Rupert Murdoch is one seriously rich son of a bitch, and he owns a HUGE global media empire.  It’s not unlikely that he himself is a member of Bilderberg.

Besides, we’re all busy sitting around watching the non-stop disco on TV, temporarily pacified, the media knows that less is more.

I bet Micheal Jackson was actually murdered, just to distract us from what our elected officials were doing while we weren’t watching them.  Hey, it’s possible!  Not terribly likely, I know.

So maybe I’m crazy, but do a bit of Google searching on Bilderberg and let me know what you think, regardless of if you think I’m a genius, or a fucking nut job.

The Cow and the Ice Cream

A perspective from a teacher and a class of students in Nashville:

THE COW AND THE ICE CREAM

ONE OF THE BEST EXPLANATIONS OF WHY OBAMA WON THE ELECTION AND IS PUSHING FOR HIS HEALTHCARE LEGISLATION:

“We are worried about “the cow” when it is all about the “Ice Cream”

The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching third
grade this year.

The presidential election was heating up and some of the children
showed an interest. I decided we would have an election for a class
president.

We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and
the class would vote.

To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class
members.

We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have.
We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked
to run for the top spot.

The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates
were good kids. I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got
lots of parental support. I had never seen Olivia’s mother.

The day arrived when they were to make their speeches.

Jamie went first:
He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place. He
ended by promising to do his very best. Everyone applauded and he sat
down.

Now is was Olivia’s turn to speak:
Her speech was concise. She said, “If you will vote for me, I will
give you ice cream.”

She sat down.

The class went wild. “Yes! Yes! We want ice cream.”

She surely would say more. She did not have to. A discussion followed.
How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn’t sure. Would her
parents buy it or would the class pay for it? She didn’t know.

The class really didn’t care. All they were thinking about was ice
cream.

Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a landslide.

Every time Barack Obama opened his mouth he offered ice cream and
52 percent of the people reacted like nine year olds: They want ice
cream. The other 48 percent knew they’re going to have to “feed the
cow and clean up the mess.”

Remember, the government cannot give anything to anyone —
that they have not first taken away from someone else.

A good use of Moveon.org

I received yet another email from Moveon.org

Wait.  Some explanation is in order.  I got unwittingly subscribed to MoveOn.org after subscribing to Barack Obama’s site during the campaign.. I donated $5 to Obama’s campaign in the beginning because he sounded interesting and on the Democrat side, I thought he was by far the best choice.  But ever since donating, I got put on the MoveOn.org distribution list.

So anyway, I received the following email

Dear MoveOn member,

Right-wing mobs aren’t just disrupting congressional town halls—their outlandish lies are now making their way into mainstream news coverage, too.

We need to set the record straight. The majority of Americans support real health care reform. And no wonder, given the incredible cost of inaction.

In Michigan alone, 620 people lose their coverage every day. And for those with insurance, yearly premiums will hit $22,579 in a few years if we don’t act.

We can’t let right-wing extremists ruin the biggest opportunity in a generation to get real reform. Can you send a quick letter to the editor of The Detroit Free Press—or another local paper—about the urgent need in Michigan for Congress to pass health care reform with a real public option?

Ugh.  So instead of doing the right thing and just unsubscribing to the email list (which would probably help keep me more healthy in terms of blood pressure, heart attacks and apoplectic shock), I decided to use their email system to give my voice.

Here’s the email I sent through their system.

Subject: The government needs to stay out of our healthcare

The American public is overwhelmingly opposed to government involvement in our healthcare.

Obama was touted as the great unifier, but clearly he’s overstepping his bounds by ignoring more than half of this country’s citizens views and charging ahead solely on party lines.

There are much bigger problems for our Congress and President to focus on rather than imposing Socialist policies that will cripple our already fledgling economy.

The White House needs to stop asking neighbors to turn in other neighbors, stop the marketing assault on our public and turn to policies that enable individual liberties.

Thank you for your time.

But, come on, really.  Surely MoveOn.org will end up filtering emails like these and would NEVER allow my letter to get through.  In fact, I bet they report me to the IRS or something, or send some Union thugs my way or otherwise make my life hell.  I expect them to fight dirty, I really do.

Who knows.  Maybe my use of their system might convince one or two people on the back end?

You can write a letter through MoveOn.org, too!  Just follow this Write A Letter link and compose it up!

Liberty

Experience should teach us to be most on our guard to protect liberty when the government’s purposes are beneficient.

Men born to freedom are naturally alert to repel invasion of their liberty by evil-minded rulers.

The greatest dangers to liberty lurk in insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning but without understanding.

Ice Cream

Barokie_RoadIn honor of the 44th President of the United States, Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream has introduced a new flavor: “Barocky Road.”

Barocky Road is a blend of half vanilla, half chocolate, and surrounded by nuts and flakes. The vanilla portion of the mix is not openly advertised and usually denied as an ingredient. The nuts and flakes are all very bitter and hard to swallow.

The cost is $100.00 per scoop. When purchased it will be presented to you in a large beautiful cone, but then the ice cream is taken away and given to the person in line behind you.

You are left with an empty wallet and no change, holding an empty cone with no hope of getting any ice cream.

Are you stimulated, yet?
